TheLNK406EGalsoprovidesasophisticatedrangeofprotectionfeaturesincludingautorestartforopencontrolloopandoutputshort-circuitconditions.Lineovervoltageprovidesextendedlinefaultandsurgewithstand,outputovervoltageprotectsthesupplyshouldtheloadbedisconnectandaccuratehystereticthermalshutdownensuressafeaveragePCBtemperaturesunderallconditions.
InanyLEDluminairethedriverdeterminesmanyoftheperformanceattributesexperiencedbytheendcustomer(user)includingstartuptime,dimming,flickerandunittounitconsistency.Forthisdesignafocuswasgiventocompatibilitywithaswiderrangeofdimmersandaslargeofadimmingrangeaspossible,atboth115VACand230VAC.Howeversimplificationofthedesignispossibleforbothsingleinputvoltageoperation,nodimmingoroperationwithalimitedrangeof(higherquality)dimmers.
